Rio beat out Madrid, Tokyo and Chicago earlier today to secure the bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics. President Obama’s pitch for Chicago apparently fell on deaf ears. Chi-Town finished with the least amount of votes of all the finalists. As Cubbie fans love to say, there’s always next year. Well, maybe not.
